This Messenger Bag takes inspiration from Rigger made American gear, utilizing reproduction parachute webbing, vintage hardware, an original parachute and most of all a reversible poncho, as issued to US troops especially in the Pacific theatre of WWII.
Meticulously constructed, the main body of the bag is made up of said Frogskin pattern - particularly the "Beac" side, cut directly from a 1944/45 manufactured poncho.
The 2 in wide adjustable carrying sling as you can see was made from reproduction parachute harness. It's equipped with authentic parachute hardware and quickly adjustable. On the rear of the bag there is an exterior pocked closed with a salvaged CONMAR zipper and intended for quick access to stuff like documents or a magazine to read. On the front exterior there is a small pocket / pencil holder. Inside there are a large, zippered pocket as well as a divider with another pocket and a strap with a hook for a key ring. The Bag is lined with another classic material - camouflaged parachute canopy. The whole bag also has been reinforced with truck tarp all around. Closure is via original US GI straps with their metal buckles.
This Messenger Bag lets you wear another classic pattern and sporting authentic pieces, mostly associated with the US Marine Corps in WWII, Korea and early Vietnam War.
Like most bags this of course also comes with a sample sheet detailing the materials used.
