This Messenger Bag is an incredibly special and rare one. It takes inspiration from the Suicide Squad movies, depicting a fictional bag made for character Colonel Rick Flag and coming along like a prop from the movies - being just the right amount of "over the top" for a comic character!
Meticulously constructed, the main body of the bag is made up of the proprietary "Bravoflage" pattern which costume designer Owen Thornton developed exclusively for David Ayer's first Suicide Squat movie. The pattern is printed on a ripstop fabric and was sourced directly from Owen himself for this project.
The adjustable carrying sling was made of two components - 2 In wide webbing salvaged from a US parachute harness, combined with a padded Vickers Tactical VTAC two-point rifle sling. All the webbing has been roughly spray-painted to give it a look similar to web gear used in the movie. The front flap holds some MOLLE webbing, a large piece of Velcro for patches which has a cover for when not in use, as well as some Velcro for a name patch. The bag includes a "Flag" tag. The sides and bottom of the bag are made of Cordura in Multicam Black as the character sports in the second Suicide Squad movie. Falling in with the nature of Flag as a comic character, the bag also sports a removable Safariland holster - US Army issue for the M9 pistol. On the rear of the bag there is an exterior pocked closed with a salvaged MILSPEC zipper and intended for quick access to stuff like documents or a magazine to read. On the front exterior there is a small pocket / pencil holder. Inside there are a large, zippered pocket as well as a divider with another pocket and a strap with a hook for a key ring which has been salvaged from another rifle sling. The Bag is lined with a material and pattern someone like the character Rick Flag would have had access to after some troop trials - uniform fabric in the rare UCP-D camouflage. The whole bag also has been reinforced with truck tarp all around. Closure is via original Austri Alpin Cobra Buckles with webbing sourced from Dutch rifle slings.
This Messenger Bag lets you wear a true unicorn of movie camouflage in a bag that could've come right from a movie set!
Like most bags this of course also comes with a sample sheet detailing the materials used.
