Claymore Satchel/ Small bandolier "ANA" in Woodland and "Spec4ce" camouflage pattern
This Claymore Satchel is part of a small series of bags, all themed around the long military conflict in Afghanistan and the Global War on Terror. On the last photo you can find an overview of the whole series.
The Claymore Satchel is my modern take on the M7 bandolier for the infamous M18A1 Claymore mine.
It's a small EDC bag being slightly enlarged compared to the original (see last two photos) and having an additional pocket. While the original only had two pockets - one for the actual mine, one for the firing device and accessories - this version also has a full-width pouch added on the back which is hidden behind the two front pouches. Each pouch is individually closed and there is an additional pencil holder sewn into the inside of the flap.
Generally I try making the Claymore Satchels from reversible material so there will be different versions available with one color being on the outside and the other being used in the front pockets and vice versa.
This version of the Claymore Satchel is made from two modern patterns - the Afghan "Spec4ce" and the ubiquitous M81 Woodland - a combination often worn by Afghan Commandos and their American mentors. Both fabrics have been salvaged from actual used uniforms. The carrying sling is 1 in wide, salvaged from parachute related equipment and it's adjustable.
The bags themselves and the two front pockets are closed with Velcro, the larger compartment has a zipper. On the front flap there's Velcro with a blind-patch for patches and some more for a name tape.
Size main pouch: 12 in x 9,5 in
Size voluminous front pockets: 6 in x 8,5 in
This bag also comes with an individual sample sheet detailing the used materials.
